25th Anniversary Celebration- Group Photo May 22, 2008 We are so proud to announce that 2008 began our celebration of the 25th Anniversary of our practice. Dr. Finkelson began his orthodontic career in 1983. Below is an article from the NJ Lifestyle Magazine that appeared May 2008. We are so proud! Finkelson Orthodontics Celebrates 25 Years! Dr. Mathew Finkelson is in the business of creating smiles-literally-which results in his getting as many as he gives. The Linwood orthodontist recently celebrated 25 years in practice with a gala evening at the Linwood Country Club. The practice's staff, colleagues and their staffs, and community leaders joined together to toast the Silver Anniversary. A graduate of Northwestern University, University of Pennsylvania, and Harvard University, Dr. Finkelson opened his practice in the community where he grew up, back in 1983. Growing over the years to three locations-in Northfield, Margate and Marmora - Finkelson Orthodontics has attracted a loyal following; a significant percentage of the patients he treats are adults, many have become personal friends. Dr. Finkelson's easy 'chair side manner' combined with the latest in orthodontic advancements - he became Board Certified the old fashioned way, by treating patients while in practice, and employing The Invisalign Technique - has earned him second- and even third-generation patients. Add a caring, cohesive, all clinically licensed staff, and some fun office contests and incentives for young patients, and you've got an entrepreneurial success story. But it doesn't end with a successful business. The practice also has become a vehicle to interact with, and give back to, the community. Dr. Finkelson serves as Vice-Chair of the Board of Governors for The AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center. A proud graduate of the region's public schools, he also serves as President of the Linwood Board of Education and is active in the Northfield Community School Healthy Schools Initiative. “The 25-year milestone has come rapidly,” said Dr. Finkelson. “But I feel more invigorated, engaged and enthusiastic than ever. It is gratifying to have a connection in the communities where we can make a difference. I truly believe and can confirm that time is the best teacher and practice does make perfect! This is not a specialty that can be mastered in 5-10 years.” Now that's something to smile about. |
